Miss Julie (1951 film)
''Miss Julie'' ((スウェーデン語:Fröken Julie)) is a 1951 Swedish drama film directed by Alf Sjöberg and starring Anita Björk and Ulf Palme, based on the play of the same name by August Strindberg. The film deals with class, sex and power as the title character, the daughter of a Count in 19th century Sweden, begins a relationship with one of the estate's servants. ==Plot==
In spite of being the daughter of a count, Julie had an unhappy childhood. She is haunted by according memories. When her engagement fails, she's even more depressed than usual. A servant offers solace and takes advantage of her. She succumbs to his seductive manners, yet right after this incident she takes her own life.
